Concrete

Concrete is an integral element of any building structure. Concrete can be placed in foundation footings, slabs, structural walls, columns & beams in large applications such as a 40 story commercial building, interstate highways or for small applications such as a house or driveway slab low.

Concrete is a composite material which is derived from the following materials – cement, sand, fine & coarse aggregates & water. When these materials are mixed, places & placed it is then left to cure (harden) over periods of time as per structural engineer specfications.

Concrete is poured with reinforcement steel which provides tensile strength whilst the concrete provides compressive strength which is termed as reinforced concrete.
